About:Chinese Consulates in Japan

I want a visa to travel in China but I was wondering how much it would cost.

I am an American studying in Japan.

It costs around 15000 yen for a normal service and you should apply via appointed travel agencies in Japan. I don't know if they ask for the service charge.
