was fired from my job. can i go back to china on a tourist visa?

I was fired from my job in PRC, had my experts certificate and visa cancelled and given 20 days to go back to USA.  I applied for another job and the bureau of foreign experts denied me because I was fired from my last job. Am I blocked forever? I was there for 2 years and planned to marry my girlfriend.

Did you violate any law or rule? If so, you might have trouble in applying for Chinese visa again. In my view, you can still apply for the L type but it's hard to tell whether you will be sucessful or not. The consular officers can check your background and learn that you once got refused. Then they will decide if you will be granted with the L type.
