About:China Student Visa

Can I apply for my X type from Hong Kong or do I need to go back to the USA (home country)?

I currently hold an L Visa for Mainland China and will be planning on applying for the X type in Tianjin.

According to the new requirements, you can't apply for it in hk unless you have resident status there. However, some people say they do it successfully. I think you'd better confirm this with the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in HK SAR.
Tel: 10:00-11:00am, 03:00-04:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Thank you but every time I call there office, they hang up on my phone call right away.
