Mutiple entry visa extension via Hong Hong

My wife has a multiple entry one with 2-month maximum stay. She has extended once already for one month in Beijing. Now she wants to go to Hong Kong and then comes back so that she can stay for another two months. Can she do that? If yes, how long does she has to stay in Hong Kong before she comes back to China?

Yes, she can go to HK and get back. It doesn't say how much time she should stay in HK. Even a single day is ok.
