About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hours visa transit permit

Hi! I already booked my ticket for shanghai for 48 hours and then flying to Cambodia. I wrote to my airline carrier (Orbitz) and they said that they cannot grant me a transit permit and say that I have to ask the embassy or the consulate. Is that normal? Now how can I get a transit permit?
Thanks

Previously, you should report to your airline if you plan to enjoy 72 hours free transit. Not long ago, the procedure has been simplifed. The applicants for 72 hours free transit needn't report to their airlines. They can directly apply for it when they arrive at the airport. So I don't think you need to report to your airlines.
