About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transit to Dubai

Hi,

I have a flight booked from Hong Kong to Bejing and then a flight from Bejing to Dubai the next day, having read the above I am assuming that I can take advantage of the 72 hour free visa at Bejing and leave the airport. Do I need to inform my airline of this prior to departure?

Anita

Yes, you can tell the staff before you board the plane to Beijing, then the transit permit will be issued upn arrival. But if your stopover is less than 24 hours, you can just apply for a stay permit directly after arrival.
