From Hongqiao Railway Station to Shanghai South Railway Station by Bus

Hello and Nihao!

Because the stations are so big and the metro-ways are so long I'm wondering if it's possible to go by bus from Hongqiao Railway Station to South Railway Station (weekdays = 7:00 – 9:00 or 17:00 – 19:00)?

If yes:

- which are the right bus numbers / names?
- which exit numbers at each station (or bus terminal, orientation) do I have to look for?
- how much does it cost?
- how long does it take approximately?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

It is possible to take the buses, but there is no direct buses between and you still need to transfer. You need to transfer either subway+bus or subway+subway.
You can take the subway line 10 to get to Yili Road Station and then get out of the station from Exit 1. Then walk to Hongqiao Road, Yili Road Stop to take the bus line Shangzhu Line to get to south railway station directly. The bus whole journey takes about one hour.
The subway fare is around 4RMB. The bus fare from Yili Road to the south stations is around 6 to 8RMB.
In my opinion, the subway is suggested, because it is much easy to transfer.
