S2 Visa Application for my Wife (for 2months stay, single entry)

I am from Philippines and now working in Shanghai (holding a Z). I am planning to bring my wife here to stay with me for about 2 months and will probably apply for S2 (single entry).

1. Normally Embassy issue not more than 30 days upon entry. Does S2 allows her to stay for 2 months? Will it allowed?
2. Does she need to apply for Temporary Residence permit here in Shanghai?

Please help to answer these questions,

Hi, your wife is able to apply for a S2 for a stay of 2 months. It is not necessary for her to apply for the temprary residence permit.
