About:China Private Visit Visa

L visa to S1 or S2

Hi,
My wife has an Sudent X and I have an L that has already been extended twice. Acording to the new regulation from the 1st of September, do you know if it is possible that I can change the L into a S1 or S2 within China? Or do I have to go back to my country to appy for it?

I am afraid you can not do this in China, because conversion between types are not allowed any more. You can have a try to apply for it in HK, but it is better to apply in your home country.

Due to the new regulation from 1st sep, Do we have to wait for our visas to be expaired or we can go to HK anytime for change to s1 or s2?

You can go to HK anytime for application. You can also contact a travel agency for the latest information if necessary.

I already have one that will be ended in this coming aug. Can I change it now to the new type s1 or I have to wait until aug and then I can apply for new one?

It depends on you. If I were you, I would change it before that expires.

Yes, you can extend it in China if you have the complete documents required.
