About:How to Take Shanghai Metro

Seek advise on taking Shanghai Metro during rush hour

From Pudong Airport to Jade Link Hotel (Line #2, Loushanguan Rd.), I am planning to take Maglev + metro. My arrival is around 7:30 - 8:00 am on working day (Tuesday). Also my departure is on Friday and I must arrive at Pudong Airport around 7:30 am.

I fully understand if it is a rush hour time. Can anyone advise me if it is worth to take metro during that time with luggage? Or is it better to take taxi? Highly appreciate any comment and advise.

It does not matter when you come in SH. It is OK to travel with your luggage in SH. You arrival time is around 07:30 to 08:00, so it is not so crowded when you reach the city down town area.
Since your departure time is before 07:30 at the airport, it is no need to worry about it. The rush hours in the morning is around 07:00 to 09:00, so if you can board the subway before 07:00, there is no need to worry about the rush hour.
