About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I'm in China right now, and I want to renew my tourist visa and I heard that I can't do that anymore

I was told that a L type one could be renewed for two times at most. Is it the first time that you have extended it? By the way, you must submit your extension at least one week in advance before it expires.
