Validity of a current visa after reaching 18yrs old.

My daughter was living in China and already has Visa which expires in May 2014. But she moved to The States for college in summer and is planning to come back to China for winter break. She became 18 years old recently.
Is the one she already obtained still valid? Or does she need a new one because she became 18 years old?
She is a US citizen.
