About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

What options are there for 11 hours in transit in Shanghai between flights on 3 January 2014?

I will have around 11 hours betwen flights in SH on 3 January 2014, arriving 9.25 am, departing 8.05 pm.
1. Is there an airport hotel I can book for some or all of this time and how much does it cost?
2. Is there a city tour that will pick me up at PVG and return me to the airport? If so, what do I do about my luggage - I will have hand luggage with me - can I take it on the tour bus? And do I need a China visa?
3. Are there any other options for me to spend the 11 hours in transit?
Thank you.

1. Yes, there is airport hourly hotel for your convenience, where you can hve a good rest and take a shower. To book that, you acn dial 021-68346480 (for domestic service) and 021-68346490 (for international service).
2. As you have only 11 hours, it is not a good idea to join any tour. You can totally enjoy the city on your own and the local public transportation is very convenient. To have a short visit in the city, you can store your luggage at the airport.

If you are an Australian passport holder and for international to international transfer, you are qualified for the 72h free-visa policy, in which case, no visa is needed. Just have a transit permit from your airline. With that, you can go out of the airport.

3. Self travel is recommended. Don't forget to experience China Maglev. It is fantastic!
Hope help!
