About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Do Indian nationals require a visa if transiting via Shanghai, flying in to Pudong and out of Hongqiao, the same morning?

It is ok if your stopover in China is less than 24 hours. But you still need to apply for a free stay permit after arrival at Pudong Airport.
