About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

my friend with Canadian passport who is currently in Korea on a business trip would like to visit me

he would like to visit me in Shanghai for 2 days, he has a round trip ticket from Pusan-Shanghai-Pusan, then Pusan-Vancouver, can he appy for this 72 hr free visit?

No, your friend needs to apply for a Chinese visa in advance for this visit.
