About:China Visa

New York to Bangkok, staying for a few weeks, then Bangkok to New York via PEK with 72 hour stop

If my trip is New York to Bangkok, staying for a few weeks in Thailand, then Bangkok to New York via Beijing with a 72 hour stop in Beijing, am I eligible for the 72 hour transit visa?

Yes, sure. You can avail the 72 hour free transit in Beijing.

No, you can't. Unless you are flying from NewYork to Beijing to Bangkok, it has to be different places and it has to be your outbound journey.
