About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I need to apply for 72-hours transit? What should be the procedure for me?

I have Russian passport, arrive with Air China flight from Osaka to Beijing and then have confirmed flight to Munich. There are 9 hours between the flights and I would like to visit a 1 hour long Peking Opera performance in Beijing during this transit time.

Well, Russia is not included in the 45 countries. But you can enjoy 24 hours free transit at the airport. If you want to leave the airport for a show, then you need to apply for the stay permit when you arrive at the airport.

Hi Vasily, yes, Russia is in the list, but what Cindy suggested at last is right that you can use 24 hour free transit permit to go out of the airport. This can be done after arrival with your passport and air ticket.
