Photography in Nanjing

Hi, I'm a photo enthusiast from Singapore. I will be visiting in Mid Nov. and would like to photograph pictures that reflects the life style (new & old) of their locals, and also some nice scenery around the city but not the normal tourist attractions. Any advise? Thanks..
