About:China Visa Fees

Overstayed for 3 days

I had a tourist visa when I entered Shanghai visiting my fiancée then because of my profession I was offered a job. My employer had tried to apply for a work permit but it was denied. Because my passport was with the immigration, I overstayed for four days. I went to see the officer, I was given a warning but not penalized. He gave me 12 days to leave Shanghai. I was told to go to Hong Kong to apply for a tourist L, will that be possible. Also, would they process work Z in Hong Kong?

Yes, you can apply for it in HK. If you have work permit and invitation letter addressed to HK, them it is ok to apply for work Z there as well.
