have visa on old system , but now i require q1/q2 ?

Question

I applied and got my L (2 entries / 60 days）before the new system started.I have got married in China and I am currently staying here.I want to live here with my wife and not return to UK.How and what type do I need to apply for ?I have just obtained medical check certificate and have also registered my current adress with the local police station.Someone mentioned it would be easier applying and re-applying everu 6 months for a Q2 rather than applying for a Q1 that lasts for 1yr/2yr+  ?

You can try to visit the local PSB for application without leaving. In my opinion, Q1 is better but maybe with more requirements. Anyway, the PSB officers have final say to your application.
