About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

80 hours - but only stay there for 3 days - still ok for 72 hr visa?

Hello,
I arrive in Beijing on Oct 31 at 11:25 am and depart on Nov 3rd at 20:00.
Can someone confirm if 72 hours is valid until 23:59 on 3rd Nov or if it is calculated from time of arrival?
Thanks.

Hi, the 72 hr is counted from the time you get the free transit permit, but you should contact your carrier airline for this because some airlines don't allow you fly if they noticed that the time between scheduled landing and leaving showed on the ticket is longer than 72 hours, and you do not have a Chinese visa for transit.
