faulty metro card in beijing

I have a card charged with 100 rmb ...but today it can't be read by any machines...can't enter gates, or top up...card just seems to have been wiped clean of any information. Is the money just lost? Or is there a way to reactivate the card?

Please do not worry and the money will not be lost. It is suggested to go the transportation card service center to ask for more detail information. There is the service center in the subway stations, so you can go to the closest one to where you stay.
