I'm afraid not. There is still no official news about the reopening.

we were just there at the end of October 2013. you can hike to it and along it. there are no services, but it was magnificent. we stayed in a hostel, called the Great Wall Box House, in a near by village and hiked to it.

Other websites claim that it will now be closed until 2014. Can anyone confirm USA Lauren's report that it is now hikeable? Many thanks!

Yes, the wall itself still closed by now, but the surrounding area and some wild wall sections are hikeable, but very dangerous without official service around. I read a news which reports that a Chinese backpacker climbed that with some companions and fell down to the cliff to death.
Do think twice before your trip there!
