About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Non Revenue Airline Ticket

Hi. I am an airline employee and fly on non-revenue ticketing which I plan to be in Shanghai for 64 hours. Will China accept this as a confirmed ticket. The risk is the airplane could get full and I would get bumped and need to take the next scheduled flight.

This would be similar to a confirmed ticket holder and the airline flight would be canceled and a passenger would need to be rescheduled.

I am afraid not, because it is not a ticket for a connecting flight with confirmed date and seat. You are suggested to apply for a visa in advance.
