L to Z Visa - Return Flight Booking Record Requirement

Hi, I am planning to apply for an L Tourist and once there, apply for a Z in Hong Kong. On the Chinese Embassy Website it says that documents required for a L Application includes air ticket booking record (round trip). I plan to stay on in China to work therefore do I need to book a return trip or simply provide evidence of the return flight that I plan to get without booking it?

Hi, you are suggested to apply for a work Z directly if you want to work in mianland China. If you enter with a tourist L, round-trip ticket are required without exception, or at least you should provide a ticket for leaving from mainland to another country.
