I need to leave China by October 26. Can I still go to Hong Kong and apply for new entry there ? What documents should I supply with an M-(am I correct ?) application. As mentioned, I have a 2-year lease for the premises and a company's name registration document.

I had a Z, than F for 3 months and when I tried to extend it, a PSB official said that according to the new law, they could only issue me a 30-day no-name visa/permit, but after it expires I need to leave China. Does anyone know if HK still works or I need to come back to my home country to get a new one?

It is worth to try and possible in HK anyway. For this purpose, an invitation letter addressed to HK office wil be helpful for your application.
