About:Chengdu Travel

Please help to suggest itinery for a group of 4 adults and one child age 3. arrive chengdu 11/4/14

We arrive around 11.00pm at CD airport on 11/4/14 and leave the city 7 days after. Would like to go to
Jiuchaigou for three days.

Is it cheaper to book our own hotel in CD but ask a travel agent to help us to book tour/accomodation in Jiuchaigou? We would like to visit Panda/etc but do not want to be in a rush.

Any recommended travel agent or tour or itinary for us to follow? Should we join the tour arranged by the hotel? How to travel in a leisure and yet can save money? We would like to have the tour guide speaking Chinese only.

Yes, you are right. It is cheaper to book your own hotel in CD and ask a travel agency to help you to book the tour in JZG.
In my opinion, if you can have enough travel information, traveling on your own is much better
For booking tour, you may book a local tour upon reaching CD. Usually, the local tour agencies will have their brochures in some hotels and you can pick one of them to travel.
If you want to travel leisure as well as saving money, it is suggested to travel on your own.

Nearly all the hotels have some connections with travel agencies, so you don't have to worry about that you can't find a nice tour guide. And finding a Chinese-speaking guide is so easy. Sometimes the dirver also can be your tour guide, though they are not professional, at least they charge less.
