About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taiwan to mainland China to USA?

Would this itinerary be allowed under the 72 hour visa for each city?

Flight 1: Taipei (TPE) to Guangzhou (CAN)
Flight 2: Guangzhou (CAN) to Shanghai (PVG)
Flight 3: Shanghai (PVG) to Beijing (PEK)
Flight 4: Beijing (PEK) to San Francisco, CA (SFO)

Sorry, you can't enjoy the 72 hours free transit. Considering of your route, you need to apply for a L type in advance.

72 hour free policy is for direct transit via one airport only such as Beijing or Shangghai. If you transit via two or more cities, you have to apply for transit visa a tourist L in advance.
