can non-chinese speaking foreigners conveniently use the mrt in beijing going around?

We are always told that transportation in BJ could be tricky and difficult if one doesnt speak Chinese. We are going in the last week of October to see the main attractions, including Badaling Wall. Any suggestions on how to go about BJ and to Badaling? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is very easy for you to travel around by using the mtr in that city. The direction boards and the signs are written in both Chinese and English, so you can easily find the way. The buses to reach Badaling are frequent, so there is no need to worry about it. In my opinion, if you want to visit the Great Wall, I think Mutianyu is much better. It is not so crowded as Badaling and the scenery is much more beautiful. Hope you have a nice trip there.
