About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA green card holder need a transit visa?

I'm a legal pernament resident of the USA with a green card. My passport is from Ecuador. Will I need a transit type if I have a stop over for 5 hours in China on my way to Thailand.

No, it is not required for such a short stopover, but you should remain in the airport transit area for your connecting flight.
