About:Chinese Embassy in Colombia

Do I need to go to the consulate personally to get a work visa for China?

I am a Colombian teacher living in Shenzhen. I just got a job in a center and I am wondering if I will have to go back personally to Colombia to process my work Z or if I can mail my passport to one of my relatives so she can process the it on my behalf and send it back to me.

Hi, you are suggested to apply in person, because applicant should be physically in the country while the application is lodged to be processed according to the regulations. BTW< you can also try to apply in HK instead if you do not want to return home.
