Visa for cruise visit in 2015

Hi i know its a bit early but I wanted some information on obtaining the right visa for my cruise trip. I am booked on a cruise March of 2015 going from Singapore thru Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam, then Hong Kong where the ship will dock overnight. Then we will arrive in Xiamen and finally the cruise will terminate in Shanghai. This is a bit hectic for me as I have never been to China but Im so looking forward to this trip. Do anyone have any ideas as to what kind of tourist visa I would need? I checked with the cruise line and I was told that they provide it onboard for my Vietnam visit so Im clear on that. However they said I would be on my own for the Chinese one. Is this considered a single entry or a double as i would also need to exit to return home? If someone could get back to me with more information regarding this it would be greatly appreciated. I want to know this information as early as possible so I will be ready for when the time comes.

Hi, you need to apply for a double entry tourist L for this visit, one entry for Xiamen and the other for Shanghai.

By the way, a double entry L is valid for 6 months, so you can apply in November or December 2014 or January 2015.
