UK Citizen needing Chinese Visa

I'm starting my 3 week visit to China on the 8th of April 2014. Is it possible to get one at the Embassy in Kathmandu? I would organise it before I leave the UK but I leave the UK on the 3rd of January, therefore I would be applying for it earlier than 3 months before my entry.

Yes, it is too early if you apply in UK. As I know, it is possible to get it in Kathmandu.
