Hi,
Many Chinese airlines offer a cheep ticket to East Asia with a transit stop in Beijing; Do you need a visa for transit? And, what happened if your connection flight gets canceled for some reason and you don't have a visa?

Visa is not required if the transit is less than 24 hours. If the connection flight gets canceled due to unavoidable reasons, you need to apply for a visa from Municipal Public Security Bureau (PSB).
