Can i exit PVG airport visa-free?

Hi,

I depart Seoul ICN and arrive into Shanghai PVG at 16:40 and then depart PVG back to London at 12:30 next day (stopover 19h 50m). Do i need one to exit the airport and go around the Bund? What type do i need? Is this free? Do i need to pickup my lugguage once i land in PVG? Is there lugguage storage services/lockers in PVG airport?

I hold a British/UK passport.

A few questions but your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, with British passport, you are allowed free transit in Shanghai for 72 hours. You can go out of the airport if you like. About the luggage collection, you should better contact your airline for details. As I know, it is not necessary for direct transit. There are lugguage storage servives in the airport if you do need to pickup your luggage.
