About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Do I qualify for Chinese new law visa?

hello am married to a chinese woman for 5years...we're not living in her hometown(hukuo town) .I enter PRC in 2010 throught shekuo...i have paid for a house in another city not where her ID is. Yesterday,we want to immgration office to ask for extension to my suprice i was told that i belong to 2rd country...so i have to go to her hometown....i dont know if i will get it since i dont live there....our house will be given to us on next year may...what should i do? WHAT ARE THE SECOND COUNTRIES?

Usually, the applicants should extend their visas at the local PSB where they live. I don't know why they refuse to do extension for you. You may ask your wife to call the local PSB where her hukou is registered and listen to what they say. If they agree to do the extension, you should go there to extend it.
