About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am an american permanent resident with a peruvian passport. Can I get the 72 visa-free stopper?

I have a 24+ layover in Beijing, but do not have an american passport, however I do have a green card can I still visit Beijing without a Chinese Visa?

Sorry, I think you still need to apply for a transit type one.
