Your Brazilian friend doesn't but you need to apply for an entry permit from the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country where you stay now before you go to HK.

If I only stay 7 days while transit through Hong Kong to a different country, then I won't need to apply an entry permit to Hong Kong, is it correct?
