Hard to get a business invitation letter

Hi i am an Enterpreneur and wanting to see all the different avenues that business in China has to offer. I want to be in the country before i start to meet and visit partners. Is there a way to get a invitation letter easily or can one write that they want to visit first and then look for business partners?
