Urgent need of Chinese visa for Shanghai , looking to obtain same in Sydney australia

Am arriving in Sydney Australia from US on Thursday and have business meetings on Monday and tuesday of next week 16/17th will it be possible to go to the chinese embassy in Sydney to get a one day visit visa for Shanghai for meetings with Chinese companies previously scheduled by the US Commercial service on the 13th on the return trip 19th 20th.
