I am keen to drive the Silk Road. Can I export and drive my own car in China?

I heard it is possible, but the whole journey would be a hard journey. You'd better make a good preparation and travel companied by a Chinese person.

Actually, you are allowed to drive yourself in China if you hold a permanent or temporary Chinese driving lisence, which is generally can be applied some airports with your own driving lisence, such as Beijing Capital Airport or local vehicle administration department.
