If I book my flight to arrive in BJ Oct 10th and plan to spend my first week exploring the city will my room cost much more and is BJ crazy busy Oct 10-17th?

If you plan to reach BJ at around Oct. 10th, I think you have already miss the National Holiday. The National Holiday is from Oct. 1st to Oct. 7th. Traveling during the National Holiday will cost a little bit more than usual and every attraction will be crowded during that time.
