About:China Visa on Arrival

Validity range of VOA

Hi, is the validity of VOA accessible and valid in cities (which we would visit as well by plane) outside the economic area for 5 days or not? /Plus info: After the 3-4 days we would fly back from Shanghai to our home country. Is this okay to do it with this VOA or would cause problems?/

The VOA for Shenzhen just allows you to stay in Shenzhen and you can't go any other places. Considering of you situation, I think you'd better apply for one for mainland China in HK or Macau in advance. Then you can go to Shanghai to take flight back home.
