climbing vs cable car than climbing mt. hua ?

Hi, What is the best option to visit the mountain ?  Meaning, we are healthy and fit and don't mind climbing and enjoy it :) However we have very limited time.  (1 day on Mount, than train at 11:30PM from Xian to Shanghai)  -  We like the idea of not taking cable car and climbing. BUT is it better to take cable car if you have limited time or can we just skip it and climb it : )  We want to see the various peaks etc..  - Your opinion is appreciated :D

Hi, when will you arrive at the mountain scenic area the day before? Well, upon your arrival, you can climb the mountain and stay in the hotel on the top for overnight. In the next early morning, have a view of the sunrise and the nice scenery of the peaks. Then take the cable car down to head for Xian Railway Station.

Thank you so much !  What do you think of this plan.   - Arrive Xian 15th late at night.  Stay the night Xian Monday 15th-16th- 16th climb STARTING at 3PM (we have things we must do in Xian early morning till 12PM)- Stay night on the mount 16th-17th - enjoy it early morning and during the day- 17th bullet train to shanghai at 20:30 How much time can we spend on top of the mountain ? 5-6 hours hiking around ?  : ) Thank you thank you
