traveling from us to nepal with stops in shanghaikunming

Hello, Both stays are under 24 hrs each, will I have a chance to stay at the airport in transit and therefore not need a visa?

Are you USA passport holder? If yes, you don't need visa at neither of the airports during your transit. Besides, due to the 72h visa-free policy, you are even allowed to get out of Shanghai Airport for a short visit.

traveling from US to Nepal with stops in shanghai and kunming
