About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

We have a flight from London to New Zealand and have just over 12 hours in transit at Guangzhou Airport.

I have a New Zealand passport and my husband an English passport. Do we need visas to leave airport and go into town

No, neither of you need visa. Because of the latest 72h visa-free policy, you are allowed to get out of the airport to have a short trip in the town.
