About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

cruising from Osaka (Japan) to Shanghai ( stay less than 48 hours) to HK, does the 72h apply ?

Sorry, you can't. I assume you need to apply for one visa if you stop at Shanghai. Better confirm this with your cruise company.
