I think you may mean the Pudong airport, right?
If so, it is suggested to take the local subway line 2 to reach Hongqiao Railway Station where you can find frequent bullet trains for NJ.
The Shanghai Railway Station is closer, but the SH Hongqiao Railway Station have more frequent trains.1
