About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

12 hours in Beijing

I arrive at 1a would like to sleep at the airport lounge hotel and then take a quick tour of Beijing in the AM. Do I apply before or after sleeping. Does it take a long time to get 72 hour visa at airport?

May i know what passport do you hold? if your stopover is less than 24 hours, you can apply for a stay permit after arrival at the airport.

You can apply for the stay permit after sleeping to go out of the airport for the tour.
