Application time for temporary residence permit

Hi,
I understand that getting a Residence Permit takes 15 working days, is there any way to speed this up, or is it likely that it will be ready earlier? I arrived on a Z visa and have the Medical report, Work permit and everything else ready.
I will submit my application on Monday the 9th September, and I have a holiday booked flying out on Saturday the 28th September. There are 15 working days between, but also a bank holiday on the 19th, so it is actually 14 working days.
Is there any way to know if my Residence permit will be ready to be collected on Friday night, or I will just have to wait and see? Unfortunately I can't submit the application earlier, and have already booked the flights for the holiday. Many thanks for any suggestions / ideas.

Hi, you are suggested to contact your local PSB or visit the office directly for this with your explaination of travel. Personally, I think it is possible for you to get your passport back with residence permit one day earlier than required.

Thank you very much Alan, that's great news, I will do that.
Another question came up in the meantime - I was planning to move into a new serviced apartment once I submitted the application - I have just realized that if I move a few days after I submitted my application, I will only have a few days of accommodation declared on the Temporary residence permit, which is not sufficient. The new apartment is only available after my application is submitted so I can't move in before, but if I start the contract earlier with them (a few days cost not a problem), the serviced apartment reception should be able to provide me with a Temporary Residence Permit from my contract start date, even if I can only move in a few days later, is that correct?
Many thanks!

Yes, so you may choose to start the contract with the new apartment a few days earlier before you submit your appliation for residence permit.
